Pain is caused by many things. But pain of the heart, those scares may never go away. Pain of love, well it strikes deeper than any wound hate can. Anger is the defense of pain. But Anger can not heal pain. Forgivness can, learning and growing can. But at the same time, what happens when you are in pain and aren't forgiven. Even if you change, you grow, you learn, even at that point, unless you are forgiven, the pain is still there. The Emperor in Star Wars said to embrace your hatred it makes you powerful. But it doesn't, hatred consumes you. It eats away all that is human. Even if you don't hate the world, if you just hate one person, if you hold onto your anger like a shield, it eventually turns on you, blinds you, and makes you feel that pain even more. Even if that person has changed into the goodness that you saw in them. Fear will grip you, it will enrage your anger, and it will intensify your pain. No matter how far you run, you will still feel it. let go of it, for your own sake. And maybe, just maybe, you might see that there is still good in people, maybe even better than what you saw.
